Young Neighbors in Action is a summer service experience for older adolescents (9th through 12th grades). It provides a dynamic Catholic approach to both service and justice that connects God's Word, prayer and liturgy, and Catholic teaching with the work the young people do throughout the week.
The cost of the program is $430 per participant.
A $50 deposit per person holds your spot. Deposits made for 2021 trips will be fully refunded if you decide to cancel or if CMD cancels due to COVID-19 restrictions before January 15, 2021.
The program begins Sunday afternoon and ends with Eucharist Friday morning. The typical daily schedule looks like this:
6:30 AM Wake Up Call
7:15 AM Breakfast
8:00 AM Morning Prayer and Send-Off
8:30 AM Departure for Work Sites
9:00 AM Work Sites (work/lunch/sharing)
3:30/4:00 PM Return from Work Sites
Team Journaling & Sharing (if not done on site)
Recreation, Relaxation, Clean Up, Snacks
Adult Leader Check-In with Program Director
5:45 PM Site Sharing/Dinner Grace
6:00 PM Dinner
6:45 PM Adult Meeting
7:30 PM Evening Program
9:00 PM Evening Prayer
9:30 PM Team Time/Social Time
11:00 PM Lights Out
